We have decided to finally start filming our film this saturday - 10th December. We will all meet up and finish our storyboard, then start doing practice shots and run-throughs. Finally we will finish our filming, and start to edit the clips together before we all go home. We probably won't be able to finish the entire film, but we will try and get through most of it before sunday. We hope to acheive an idea of how our film will turn out, and possibly start filming and editing it.

Our New and Improved Pitch
Our film concept is a horror film based loosely on the hit film PARANORMAL ACTIVITY. A boy of 16 called John Tyler is convinced that his house is haunted, so he allows his friend-also aged 16- called David Gray to sleep over to see all of the abnormal activity that happens in John’s house. John’s parents are with friends for the weekend and so they are alone. While they are sleeping there will be noises in the loft and doors will open and close. Therefore they will both get frightened and eventually try to leave the house. But the front door is locked and David Gray gets possessed and takes John Tyler out of camera shot.
Influences.
The film franchise ‘Paranormal Activity’ is what mostly influenced us while coming up with this film concept.

The film will be shot at Lonsdale Drive in Rainham. If this address becomes unavailable then we will film it at Edwards Close in Wigmore.

Micro features.
The film will mostly be ‘self shot’ to make it seem as if it is ‘found footage’. This makes it seem more realistic and scarier for the viewer. We may add some slow creepy dramatic music to our film to help it create suspense.

Our First Draft for Our Pitch
We have just finished our first draft for our pitch. In our pitch it contains who's in the film, where it ill be filmed and what time period its in e.g 22:00 pm . Lastly it contains a brief plot of what our film is about and what might happen and who the film would be aimed at e.g 15yr olds. We are going to improve on our first draft by expanding our plot into more detail so the audience will get a better idea of the suspence we are trying to create within our film. First Steps for Abnormal Activity.
We have been given the task of either creating a short film, or creating a longer film and taking a 2 minute section from it. We have decided to create a short film, this is because we think that it will be easier to get the film to make sense to the audience.
On Thursday 13th October our group began to come up with ideas for films. We came up with an idea to do a cloverfield type film where the action is being filmed through a basic camcorder. This was going to invovle an ex-army sgt who got kicked out for telling everyone about the secret goverment work. It starts off with an unconcious camerman who wakes up to an apocalypic rainham. And he then meets the sgt and they have to survive this outbreak. Thats the basic idea for it, but once we developed it we began to realise that it would be to complicated to film within a 2 minute time period, so we came up with ideas for other films.
Thats when we came up with abnormal activity which will be a 5 minute short film. This is a knock off film from the major hit "Paranormal Activity". Its got the basic idea of a haunted house possed by a poltergeist. This invovles two friends who are sleeping round at each others houses. Furthermore it invovles one of the friends trying to scare the other with fake stories about how haunted his house is when it actually becomes a reality and then they begin to realise it is by the shutting doors, moving pillows and sudden bangs and crashes around the household.
